It’s supposed to be over 100 degrees the next few days in Oregon East of the Coast Range. So, we’re heading back to Carson City from Portland down the Oregon Coast. Weather Underground is reporting temps in the low 70s and upper 60s along the coast.
We left Albany after lunch with June and Ben (June is part of a documentary we are producing), and ended up at Tillicum south of Waldport, one of our favorite campgrounds. The weather was much cooler, with a fog bank blowing south right along the coastline and at times over the road and towns. The second night we’re just south of Port Orford at a turnout on Highway 101. And the weather was just about ideal for some great scenic shots of the ocean and sunset. Kirsti saw a whale, but didn’t quite get a shot of it.
The camera battery died in the middle of the time lapse, so I missed about 30 minutes of the sunset. You’ll see when. This is one of the reasons the Oregon Coast is such a great drive.
